Boy Starts Singing ‘Hallelujah,’ But Song Transforms As 2 Girls Join Him In Chilling Harmony

One of the best parts about Christmas-time is the music.

There’s something very special about songs we only get to enjoy for a few weeks a year.

While there is one song in particular that is heard year-round, it carried an extra special significance this time of year.

During the Christmas season when people are rejoicing in the birth of our Savior and praising the Lord, one song comes to mind.

But it isn’t necessarily considered a holiday song – more of a secular hymn that has enraptured millions of people around the world.

Written by the incredible Canadian singer Leonard Cohen, the classic “Hallelujah” was penned in 1984 and has been sung by hundreds of artists, used in numerous films and shows, and even performed in various languages.

But it was one particular performance by three children that stunned an audience. Patrizia, 12, Simon, 12, and Helen, 11, appeared on Germany’s The Voice Kids show.

They opted to perform this incredibly difficult yet immeasurably stirring song.

The beauty of this song, coupled with their bold emotions, wowed the judges.

Their parents, who are seen backstage, are filled with joy and pride as they listen to their children pour their hearts into this performance. The audience is simply overwhelmed.

The first verse says “I’ve heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord.

But you don’t really care for music, do you? It goes like this – the fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift, the baffled king composing Hallelujah…”

These stirring lyrics have been redone time and time again by many talented artists, but these three children bring a whole new element to “Hallelujah.”

Watch this trio in action and enjoy their jaw-dropping rendition of the breathtaking classic.
