Teacher Thinks She’s Getting iPads For Her School Then Ellen Swipes The Screen To The Left
The Brantley School District shares the motto, “Reach every student, every day.”
When 24 year old occupational therapist, Ashlyn, joined Brantley in its vision, she began changing lives.
Ashlyn and her husband, Brent, live near enough to the Brantley School District so that Ashlnn can travel and pursue her dream of making a difference for these kids.
But for her, this dream meant going to one of the most poverty-stricken counties in Georgia, and even in the nation.
Ashlyn shares how much extra care her students need as a result of poor living conditions.
In poverty-stricken areas, the greatest struggle for school systems is the struggle for sufficient funding.
Ellen’s hope for this day was to reach out in a unique way and help fill a need. Watch just how she does that!
But in addition to helping provide the education that her students need, her main goal is to make each one feel special and know that there is someone who really cares about them.
The teachers of the Brantley School District also like to live by Angel Schwindt’s quote, “While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.”
