The Band Plays “Hallelujah”, But When 1,500 People Do THIS? Unbelievable . . .

Over One Thousand Singers Gather To Belt “Hallelujah”

When the massive singing group, “Choir! Choir! Choir!” gathered in the rustic Hearn Generating Station in Toronto, no one expected the result to be this breathtaking. Over 1,500 members of the choir group crowded in the building to sing “Hallelujah” with the talented singer Rufus Wainwright on lead vocals.

The enormous crowd sang, swayed, and a few even shed tears, as the air filled with the sounds of their harmonizing voices. “Hallelujah” was first recorded by Leonard Cohen and has since been covered by incredible artists such as John Cale, Jeff Buckley and Allison Crowe – but none were as hauntingly beautiful as the hundreds of voices rising up in Hearn Generating Station.

Before the final recorded version of the performance, several singing coaches came in to demonstrate the backup vocals. Sure enough, when the cameras started rolling, every person in the 1,500-member choir group gave it their all. God was definitely smiling as they sang this amazing rendition!
