Hairstylist Turns Toddler’s Unfortunate Haircut Accident Into One Rad ‘Do

If you’re a parent of young kids, you know that a quiet house is often a sign that something is amiss.

This was certainly the case for Ohio mom Breana Naylor, who recently discovered that her two toddlers had taken a pair of scissors to her daughter’s hair while she was in the other room.

Naylor was enjoying a few moments of peace when she decided to check on her 3-year-old son Colt and 2-year-old daughter Kimber, only to find them hiding in her closet with scissors in hand.

Kimber was sitting still while Colt held the scissors up to her head, and Naylor immediately knew what had happened.

“I saw the long cut pieces of hair before I saw them,” she said. “When I saw the damage, I just laughed. My husband was pretty upset, though.”

Without missing a beat, Naylor texted her friend and hairstylist Jen Bullock to let her know that there was a hair emergency at her house and that Kimber needed her help.

“We had been chatting earlier in the day about cutting my hair,” Naylor explained. “So I said, ‘Jen, forget about my hair, Kimber needs your help!’”

An hour later, Bullock arrived at Naylor’s house with a pair of shears in hand. And the results were nothing short of miraculous.

Despite the haphazard nature of the cut, Bullock managed to turn it into a stylish and perfectly fitting haircut for Kimber.

“I’m not sure if Kimber realizes how rad she really looks,” Naylor said. “It’s as though her hair matches her spunky personality now, or maybe she’s more spunky because of her rad hair.”

Since the incident, Naylor has made sure to talk to her kids about why it’s not safe to play with scissors – especially when it comes to someone’s hair.

And while this isn’t the first time her kids have gotten into some mischief, Naylor is grateful that this particular incident gave everyone a good laugh.

“I’ve been stunned by how viral the whole thing has become,” she said. “But I’m happy it’s given everyone a good laugh.”
